Project Overview

About This Project

College Connector is a custom WordPress integration platform designed to connect external college systems with a public-facing website. The solution synchronises course data from Tribal/EBS and apprenticeship vacancies from the UK Government API, normalises those records, and converts them into structured WordPress content that can be surfaced consistently across templates, archives and Elementor layouts.

The platform combines data integration, learner discovery and engagement tools in one managed workflow. Courses and vacancies are stored locally as WordPress content, organised through custom post types, metadata and taxonomies, and then exposed through reusable Elementor widgets for search, filtering, related courses, saved courses, apprenticeships and relevant testimonials.

Our work covered the synchronisation and normalisation layer, AJAX-driven course discovery, Elementor widget development, saved-course functionality, plugin-managed testimonials and non-destructive migration tooling for legacy content. The result is a joined-up learner journey that improves discoverability while preserving editorial control and operational safety.
