Magento PHP REST API CSV Prisync API Cron Automation Server-Side Processing
Project Overview

About This Project

We developed a custom supplier-feed automation for Paul Davies Kitchens & Appliances to streamline the transfer of product data from Magento into the Prisync pricing platform. The goal was to replace repetitive manual processing with a reliable, scheduled workflow capable of handling a large product catalogue.

The solution processes a Magento-generated CSV containing thousands of product records, transforms the data into the format required by the Prisync API, and sends updates in controlled batches. Custom PHP logic, API handling, logging and scheduled execution were used to make the integration manageable and repeatable.

The project also included server-side troubleshooting, batch processing, cron execution and error handling, providing the client with a practical automation layer between two systems that were not designed to communicate directly.

What We Built

Key Features & Solutions

Feature view 1
  • Magento CSV Feed Processing A custom PHP workflow reads and normalises product data exported from Magento before it is sent to the external pricing platform.
  • Prisync API Integration Product information is transformed and submitted to Prisync through its API, creating an automated bridge between otherwise separate systems.
  • Large Catalogue Batch Processing Thousands of product records are processed in controlled batches to reduce timeouts and make long-running synchronisation jobs more reliable.
Feature view 2
  • Scheduled Server Automation Cron-based execution allows the feed process to run automatically without requiring staff to manually start each synchronisation.
  • Logging & Error Handling Processing logs and error handling were added to identify failed requests, API responses and problematic records during large sync operations.
  • Server-Side Troubleshooting The project included resolving redirects, endpoint responses, file permissions and execution issues within the hosting environment.

Project Results

4,600+
Product Records
The supplier export contains approximately 4,600 product rows for automated processing and synchronisation.
1,000+
Products Processed
Initial production runs successfully processed more than 1,000 products across multiple controlled API batches.
Automated
Scheduled Workflow
Server-side execution replaces repetitive manual data handling with a repeatable scheduled synchronisation process.
Batched
API Processing
Large supplier feeds are divided into controlled batches to improve reliability, logging and troubleshooting.
